Home sweet home

Well everyone, I made it. Home back in New Zealand where the weather is totally different. I nearly froze at the airport and Miss Wright had to send a text to her son James to bring me my woollen hat and scarf..... I was secretly pleased to have so much fur. We were very tired when we arrived and I snuggled straight down next to Walter (Miss Wright's cat) to stay warm and Miss Wright got on with the unpacking. I had such a great time in Vietnam and I hope I can go back one day. It was an amazing country and I have a lot of new friends too, I have really missed Room 7 and can't wait to go back and share my adventures. I hope you have all enjoyed my adventures too. I wonder where I will get to go next year?

I have discovered that not all seats on a plane are the same and I love these ones the most, so did Miss Wright and Mr Reid.

The windows are really small and thick, I couldn't open them no matter how hard I tried. Miss Wright said there was plenty of fresh air in the plane but I think I'd rather just open a window.....

The man over my shoulder was wonderful, he kept bringing me cold towels, fresh juice and even some yummy meat on a stick with peanut sauce...... Miss Wright said it was satay but I've never heard of that type of meat... I thought it was chicken personally.

I am ready for take off...

The Beach

Hi everyone at Botany Downs..... sorry it's been a while since I blogged but I've been at the beach! We are in Nha Trang at the moment and I have made an amazing discovery.... there is a family of squirrels living in a large tree right outside my window!! I've been having so much fun making new friends and playing with them. Miss Wright is lovely but all she wants to do is sit on the beach and read her book... BORING!! I've tried to get some photos of my new friends so I'll put them up when I can. I think we are here for two more nights then off to Saigon to get the plane home again. Can't wait to see you all.

I was being nice here and fanning Miss Wright's feet, she was too hot to move and I was getting tired of sitting still.

Can you believe this is a dog? I thought it was a dragon and he growled at me a bit for a while. We soon became friends and I was allowed to sit way up high, it was a great view.

I'm thinking of entering this shot in New Zealand's next Top Model competition. Oh and that was some temple thiing in the background.

Horse riding in Vietnam, we didn't get far but it was fun.

Originally there was a big stone sword here but it got broken hundreds of years ago so now I can sit here instead.

This is Miss Wright's idea of total bliss...... I got bored after 10 minutes.

Arriving in Hue

Hi everyone
Miss Wright told me you are all on holiday now so I hope you're having a great time. I spent 16 hours on a train yesterday going to a place called Hue. I think I was a bit naughty because I kept asking Miss Wright if we were there yet and she got a bit tired of that question. She made me go to bed early. Today I am going for a bike ride (got my helmet) to the beach for a swim. I can't wait. A local possum told me it is a great beach so I will ask Miss Wright to take some photos for you.

During the night there was the BIGGEST THUNDER AND LIGHTNING STORM EVER...... I was very scared and hid under the pillow. Miss Wright was trying to get me to come out but no way!!!

Breakfast is about to be served..... I made it through the dark, scary night by the way.

The people on the boat were trying to get Miss Wright to buy lots of stuff.... she said it was very expensive stuff and she wasn't old enough to wear pearls. I thought they looked quite pretty.

I was only allowed a soft drink at the bar.

This is a recipe for spring rolls. Mr Reid got to make some and then we ate them for lunch....yummmm

After lunch I got very thirsty... you can only drink water from a bottle here, never from the tap! I was told that the water in Vietnam is not as nice as in New Zealand, what a shame.

Good Morning Vietnam...

We were up really early this morning so we went for a walk around the lake. It was so hot and muggy that Miss Wright's camera was all misty. She tried to get some photos of me to share with you so I hope they have all worked. It was so hot that I tried to climb a tree the get away from the heat but it didn't help, I also tried to ride a bike but my legs were too short to reach the pedals.....
Miss Wright is off to have her breakfast now so I'd better hurry up if I want to eat.

I made it...

Hey there to everyone at Botany Downs Primary (especially room 7)... I have made it to the very hot and muggy land of Vietnam. My fur is a little too much over here but I was told by a local dog I met that I will soon get used to it. I spent most of today sitting under the air conditioner but will hopefully be brave enough to head out with Miss Wright for longer tomorrow. The food is different, there must be millions of motorbikes here and I am not good with the language but by crikey I'm loving it. I hope you are all being good for Mrs Macro and I will try to leave another post as soon as possible.

Miss Wright thinks we are two of the cutest people ever.

While we were in K.L I made some friends at a very posh shop, Miss Wright said we couldn't afford anything here but I was allowed to chat with my friends for a while.

I was too tired to walk by this stage so I asked Miss Wright to give me a lift.

I think this is where Miss Wright fell asleep at the airport....

I have absolutely no idea where this was taken, neither does Miss Wright, but I do look cute.
